Prescribed Whistleblowing Agencies in the UK

Whistleblowing anonymously - whistleblowing and risk management

Aranea allows you to report wrongdoing anonymously via us to your employer.

It also allows you to report directly to us without involving your employer so you can then decide which route to take with your concern before identifying yourself. It’s the beauty of our system. It allows you to scope out your options before you give your identity to anyone.

The below organisations are prescribed by the UK Government to deal with whistleblowing cases while protecting your status as a whistleblower. However, they require you to provide your personal details. You can use our software to report to these organisations completely anonymously, again buying you time to understand what your position is before you commit to ‘going public’ with your identity.

Contact us via our whistleblowing apps for confidential advice, completely anonymously.

If you decide to blow the whistle to a prescribed organisation rather than your employer, you must make sure that you have chosen the correct person or body for your issue. For example, if you are blowing the whistle on broadcasting malpractice you should contact the Office of Communications (Ofcom).

Below is a list of the prescribed persons and bodies who you can make a disclosure to. There is also a brief description about the matters you can report to each prescribed person.

In addition, you can also blow the whistle to your legal advisor, your MP or your MSP.
