What Whistleblowing Protection Networks Exist?

There are several whistleblower protection networks and organisations around the world. They aim to provide support, legal advice, and protection to whistleblowers who expose wrongdoing and misconduct in their respective fields.

National Whistleblower Center (NWC): Based in the United States, the NWC is a non-profit organisation dedicated to advocating for the protection of whistleblowers through legal representation and public policy initiatives.

Public Concern at Work (PCaW): A UK-based charity that offers advice and support to whistleblowers, as well as organisations looking to implement effective whistleblowing procedures.

Whistleblowing International Network (WIN): WIN is a global network that connects whistleblower protection organisations and advocates worldwide to promote best practices and collaboration in safeguarding whistleblowers.

Government Accountability Project (GAP): GAP is a non-profit organisation based in the United States that works to protect whistleblowers and promote government and corporate accountability.

European Center for Whistleblower Rights (ECWR): ECWR is an organisation focused on promoting and protecting whistleblowers’ rights across Europe.

Whistleblower-Netzwerk e.V.: This is a German whistleblower network that provides support and advocacy for whistleblowers in Germany.

Protect (formerly Public Concern at Work): An independent UK whistleblowing charity that helps individuals speak up safely and effectively.

Transparency International (TI): Although not solely focused on whistleblowers, TI is a global anti-corruption organisation that works to promote transparency and accountability, which are crucial for protecting whistleblowers.
